life lessons

the hardest part of forgiveness towards others or even towards yourself is admitting your own role in a particular situation. isn’t that the beauty of hindsight? looking back and understanding that you could have reacted differently even though your emotions were running high. James E. Faust quoted Dr. Sidney Simon by saying, “forgiveness is freeing up and putting to better use the energy once consumed by holding grudges, harboring resentments, and nursing unhealed wounds. it is rediscovering the strengths we always had and relocating our limitless capacity to understand and accept other people and ourselves.”

what happened happened and what’s done is done. let go of any ill will that may linger. accept things the way they are, remember the good times and concentrate on the future.
