lava, lava, lava

during my fantastic oregon trip which also included my BFF we took a day to visit a place called lava land near my brothers house. basically it is a this huge monument and miles of dried lava. after we walked through the visitors center and listened to a presentation by the local ranger we walked up to the lookout. it was amazing to see all of the lava with random trees popping up in the middle.

before heading to our next adventure we ate some lunch at a near by picnic table. while eating we had aboout ten chipmunks gathered around us wanting food. being us we could hlp but share a little and take a few pictures!

we then went down the road to walk around in a lava cave. once we got to the opening of the cave we had to put on jackets, turn on our head lamps and light up the latern. we had a great time exploring one of the earths natural creations.
